Get LIT Festival of Books

Objective

The Get LIT! Festival of Books is a fictitious literary event. Its promoters wanted to raise awareness and encourage early registration of their event and the subcategories of events. My given objective was to create an integrated digital campaign that would adhere to the brand’s style and include a display ad, social media ad, e-blast, and landing page.

Process Overview

Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop were used to create the deliverables.

To maintain consistency across all designs, I used the same full-color logo, brand color and typographical choices, and images that best represented the spirit of the event. Content is centrally aligned apart from the grid pattern on the e-blast and landing page. The grid pattern was used to segment information into easily digestible portions while dividing subject matter and providing an opportunity to utilize the brands colors. Variations in text color, size, and style were used to increase contrast in some areas and create hierarchy throughout. The lightbulb graphic was taken from the logo and used to fill negative space and create visual interest. Imagery was chosen on its appropriateness in relation to the subcategory titles. A hero image was selected to be included in all designs to help tie them together, and along with the logo and tagline, increase brand recognition. The call-to-action buttons for each design are the same design to increase consistency.
