Objective
Dogs Out 5K is an event held by a fictitious animal rescue non-profit. My objective for this school project was to apply branding components to one animated and one static display ad to capture the attention of the organization’s target audience and promote the event.

Process Overview
Tools: Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
The GIF uses a simplified design with a two-color logo and no imagery to fit the standard leaderboard size. The animated paw prints were taken from the logo to guide the viewer from the beginning of the ad to the ending call-to-action button. They provide accents of color to grab attention and a reminder of the event’s charitable cause. The static display ad uses the full-color logo and one image that helps capture the expectations of the event. To make the logo stand out, I enlarged the colored, rounded background, and added a red underline to create an illusion of depth. The yellow background is repeated in a key phrase in the text and the call-to-action button to guide the viewer along the reading path.
